Lebenskleidung offers digital printing on sustainable fabrics starting from just 10 meters per design. Printing is done using reactive digital printing on selected organic fabric qualities using GOTS-certified, water-based inks. The service is aimed at small and growing fashion labels, designers, students, educational institutions and projects that value quality, transparency and fair production conditions. Unlike traditional self-service platforms, Lebenskleidung personally accompanies every digital printing project – from the file to the fabric selection to the finished fabric.

PRINT SLOTS FOR SMALL QUANTITIES

For smaller print runs, we bundle several projects into fixed printing slots. This allows you to have your designs printed from as little as 10 meters per motif and still benefit from fair prices and professional quality.

Print slots are held regularly. You submit your design by the respective deadline, and we take care of the printing, fixing, and finishing. Samples and smaller test prints can also be integrated into the slots.

INDIVIDUAL PRODUCTION FOR LARGER PRINT RUNS

For larger quantities or special requirements, we print your design individually and independently of fixed printing deadlines. From approximately 150 meters per design, we will create a personalized offer for you and coordinate the production time, fabric quality, and implementation directly with you. This option is particularly suitable for re-orders, larger collections, or projects with specific requirements regarding color, material, or scheduling.

What is the minimum quantity required to have fabrics printed?

Digital printing is available from 10 linear meters per design . For color matching or initial testing, we also offer sample prints starting at approximately 2 meters (at an additional cost). This allows you to check your design before final production.

What types of fabric can I have printed on?

We print on select organic fabrics that are particularly well-suited for digital printing. These include jersey, interlock, sweatshirt fleece, poplin, canvas, and other fabrics made from organic cotton or sustainable fibers such as Ecovero. You can order fabric samples in advance through our shop.

What printing process does Lebenskleidung use?

We use digital reactive printing on modern machines and GOTS-certified, water-based inks . This process ensures brilliant colors, high wash resistance, and long-lasting print results because the ink is firmly bonded to the fiber.

How does the digital printing process work?

After receiving your inquiry, we will coordinate a suitable print slot or a custom production with you. You submit your design, and we take care of printing, fixing, and finishing. After quality control, you will receive the finished printed fabric. You can find our print slot dates here.

What file formats and specifications apply to printing?

Your design should be created at a 1:1 scale with 300 dpi. Suitable formats include TIFF, PSD, or EPS. For color-accurate work, we can provide you with our color profiles and swatches upon request. We will gladly send you detailed specifications via email.

Can I receive a sample or color proof beforehand?

Yes. In addition to a sample print of your own design, you can also order printed color profiles on the desired fabric. This gives you a realistic feel for colors, material, and print quality before you go into production. Here you will find digital print samples and printed color profiles.

How much does digital printing on textiles cost?

The price depends on the fabric quality and quantity. The larger the print run per design, the lower the price per meter. We'd be happy to send you a clear price list with tiered pricing upon request.

How long does production take?

Production time depends on the print slot and quantity. It typically takes approximately 4–6 weeks from print approval. For larger quantities or special projects, we will coordinate the timeframe with you individually.

Can printing also be done on EcoVero jersey fabrics?

Yes. We also print for you on EcoVero jersey fabrics with or without elastane.

Are the woven and knitted fabrics made from organic cotton also GOTS-certified?

Yes. We print on GOTS-certified woven fabrics such as muslin, canvas, satin, and poplin. Our knit fabrics are also made from organic cotton and are GOTS-certified. We offer jersey, interlock, and sweatshirt fabrics, among others, for printing.
