The GOTS seal
Certification
GOTS Standard
Many of our fabrics carry the GOTS standard. This stands for organic fibers, strict environmental criteria and minimum social standards along the textile supply chain – from raw material to finished fabric.
For us, GOTS isn't just a "stick-on label," but a system: clear rules, transparent processes, and regular inspections. This helps you make a better choice when buying fabric – especially if transparency and responsibility are important to you.
What is it about? A globally recognized standard for textiles made from organic fibers – with environmental and social criteria.
What is being tested? Processing steps, chemical management, wastewater/emissions, and minimum social standards.
What does this mean for you? More guidance when shopping – and greater assurance that processes are independently monitored.
How can you recognize it? By the GOTS label on the product (and, depending on the item, by the corresponding label/logo).
What GOTS specifically means
GOTS sets requirements for the entire textile processing chain: from the fiber to spinning/knitting/weaving, from dyeing to finishing. Clear rules for chemicals used and environmental regulations are also crucial.
Because certifications help make supply chains more comparable – and because we, as a fabric wholesaler, do not want to demonstrate responsibility not just in words, but in actions.
The most important thing is the specific information on the product: What quality is certified – and in which version? If you have any questions (e.g., about composition, use, or certification), feel free to write to us anytime.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GOTS STANDARD
What does GOTS mean?
GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard. It is an internationally recognized certification standard for textiles made from organically produced natural fibers and defines environmental and social criteria along the entire textile supply chain.
What is tested by GOTS?
The standard covers all processing steps – from spinning and weaving to dyeing and garment making. This includes, among other things, the controlled use of chemicals, environmental regulations, and minimum social standards for working conditions.
Is organic automatically GOTS-certified?
No. "Organic" initially refers to the cultivation of the fiber. GOTS goes further and also evaluates the processing and criteria along the entire supply chain. You can always tell whether a fabric is GOTS-certified directly on the product.
Why aren't all fabrics GOTS-certified?
Our product range includes certified organic fabrics as well as deadstock materials and materials from various supply chains. These can be high-quality and sustainable, but do not always meet the formal requirements of GOTS certification.
What is GOTS-certified fabric particularly suitable for?
Many customers choose GOTS-certified fabrics for projects with high environmental and social standards – for example, for baby and children's clothing, underwear, or durable everyday wear. The specific type of fabric is always a crucial factor.
