Waffle pique clothing explained briefly

Our waffle pique fabric is incredibly valuable to us. Its exceptional 3D structure is particularly striking, almost making it a work of art. This also gives it a very large surface area – a fact that makes it indispensable for swimwear and accessories.

  • Its structure is created by interlacing the warp and weft threads before weaving them together. The type of weave is, unsurprisingly, called a waffle weave. It can be called pique, however, because its great plasticity is reminiscent of classic piqué fabrics – without actually being one.
  • Waffle pique is a versatile fabric. It's often used for towels, bathrobes, or dish towels because it's highly absorbent and durable, yet anything but plain-looking. If you value a bathroom and kitchen that are not only functional but also stylish, this fabric is the perfect choice.
  • Our waffle pique fabric is naturally sustainable, which instantly increases its value immeasurably. It is made from organic cotton from Uganda, the cultivation of which we have even seen with our own eyes.
  • Of course, you can also be adventurous and use waffle pique for shirts or trousers. Some of our much-loved labels have already shown us how it's done, and it's made our hearts beat faster. This beautiful textured fabric is also suitable for children's clothing – and its durability is a major advantage here!
