Oxford cotton fabric – robust, natural & durable

Oxford cotton fabrics are characterized by their tight weave, high durability, and clean, timeless look. The special Oxford weave creates a robust fabric with a slightly textured surface that is long-lasting and pleasant to the touch.

At Lebenskleidung, you'll find Oxford fabrics made exclusively from cotton or organic cotton . Our fabrics are primarily sourced from deadstock – high-quality materials from existing production runs that would otherwise go to waste. This allows us to combine durable materials with responsible resource management.

What is Oxford cloth?

Oxford fabric is a tightly woven cotton fabric created using a special weaving technique: several yarns are combined to form a durable, dimensionally stable fabric with a characteristic texture. Traditionally made from cotton, Oxford is known for its longevity and versatility.

What is Oxford cotton fabric suitable for?

Thanks to its robustness and natural feel, Oxford cloth is versatile. Depending on its weight and features, it is particularly suitable for:

  • Jackets, overshirts & vests with a clean silhouette
  • Trousers & skirts in workwear or utility style
  • Bags, pouches & accessories
  • Home textiles such as pillow covers or practical storage solutions

Oxford fabrics as deadstock – consciously working with cotton

Our Oxford fabrics come from deadstock sources: discontinued collections, overproduction, or leftover stock. This means that no new cotton had to be produced for these fabrics. Especially with a durable material like Oxford, deadstock is a particularly sensible form of resource utilization.
