What are mesh fabrics?

Mesh fabrics are textiles with an open, net-like structure. The uniform weave ensures high breathability, light weight, and a comfortable feel. Depending on the mesh size and yarn thickness, mesh fabrics can be very fine or somewhat more robust, but always remain breathable.

Mesh fabrics made from organic cotton

Our mesh fabrics are made exclusively from 100% organic cotton (kbA) . This combines the natural properties of cotton – skin-friendliness, breathability, and comfort – with the functionality of an open mesh structure. They are particularly suitable for clothing and applications where air circulation and lightness are paramount.

Knitted, not woven

The mesh fabrics in our range are knitted textiles , not woven fabrics. The raschel knitting technique creates uniform, stable meshes with slight elasticity. Compared to woven fabrics, knitted mesh fabrics are more flexible and adapt better to movement.

Mesh or lace – what's the difference?

Mesh fabrics are often mistaken for lace, but they differ significantly in appearance and use. Classic lace is usually decorative, ornamental, or floral. Mesh fabrics, on the other hand, appear more technical, uniform, and functional. Our mesh fabrics are not decorative lace, but rather functional net fabrics.

Manufacturing: raschel technique

The raschel technique enables precise, uniform mesh formation and ensures durable fabric quality. "Raschel" describes the manufacturing method, not the appearance. The result is stable, breathable mesh fabrics with a clearly defined structure.
